As you guys have read I do alot of research online regarding tips on how to jump higher. I stumbled upon a great site which has so much information on workouts to jump higher. Click here to check them out.
I wanted to write a short review on them since I found the site pretty informative after being a bit skeptical. After doing some searches online I got some more information, however, it was only after one of my buddies at school talked about it that I really got interested. I’ve been using it for a while now and have seen some results.
Anyway the vertical jumping program site is called the Jump Manual, you get some decent information on nutrition and some nice ways to sustain your jumps. I found out that Jacob Hiller, is the facilitator of the program with many years coaching professional basketball players. What I loved about this site is the actual coaching he offers on the site. It’s good for motivation and he is a pretty cool guy, you really feel like you have a personal trainer at your side. After using it for a few weeks I have seen some of my highest vertical jumps. Click here to see some videos about the program.
I didn’t like a few things about the program though. First of all the video quality wasn’t the best but definitely watchable. Also a few of the bonuses they offered weren’t all that, for me the best thing was the main book and the one on one coaching.
I still think it was worth the money I put out, especially for the alternative weight room workouts to jump higher that are pretty short and easy to follow. Click here to check them out.

Hi everyone,
Well I know my focus is on how to jump higher in basketball so I decided to write a short article on it. I was thinking about some exercises to jump higher today and visited a few websites on exercises to improve jumping. Anyway this is what I cam up with so far, I’ll probably end up getting vertical jumping program online but I’m still looking around. Anyway here are some of my thoughts on how to jump higher for basketball.
Those who like to partake in the sport of basketball are often worried about their jumping range when they are on the court. Some have a great range for tossing the ball into the net whether it be a direct throw or off of the backboard. If your range is not up to par there are certain exercises that you can do to increase your ability to hitting your target. Although being able to throw from a far distance is important, learning how to jump higher in basketball will help you to score more baskets.
Although your throwing arm might be great, when it comes to playing basketball, the players skill in vertical jumping is also very important. Being able to do a proper vertical jump will give the player the extra height needed to get the points. In order to build up up stamina as well as condition the muscles, the player must include routine exercises as part of their jump higher program.
The type of exercises that one must learn in order to build up speed and agility are known as isometric exercises. Isometric exercises concentrate on one particular part of the body and so, depending on which type of exercise you choose, it effects or strengthens that particular area. Utilizing a resistance band will also increase the time or speed of how fast your muscles contract or react to certain movements.
Speed, agility and swiftness all play an important part in a basketball players daily life and without proper, daily exercises the body movements can become slow and sluggish. Joint muscles are also conditioned when doing these isometric exercises so that the joints will be able to move without causing injury or harm to the player when twisting and turning movements are involved. Stretching and toning these joint muscles will increase the basketball players height in vertical jumping therefore giving them the ability to dunk the basketball into the net from all areas of the basketball court. This will allow you to achieve your highest vertical jumps.
Isometric exercises train the muscles into contracting and expanding swiftly without pain or discomfort, so that the basketball player can follow through with their movements and reach their targeted goal of getting the basketball to go in the net. Let’s face it, in the art of the game of basketball every second counts and learning how to jump higher is a very important task that the basketball player must learn.
Leg workouts to jump higher such as calf raises and leg extensions also strengthen and tone the legs therefore helping to increase the players ability to increase their vertical jumping height. I hope you enjoyed these tips on how to jump higher in basketball.
